Dear Lactnetters,
Congratulations to all of you who took the test yesterday! I'll bet
you are all feeling very relieved today. I hope you all did well.
For all of you not at the conference, do any of you know about green
tea and whether or not it is considered safe for breastfeeding mothers? Tried
the archives, but didn't get any hits. I'm not sure of the difference between
green tea and black tea. More caffeine? Green tea is also supposed to
contain some chemical that helps you lose weight, though I can't remember the name
of the chemical. I'm guessing it's possible but not probable that enough of
this particular chemical could get through to the baby to cause weight
gain/loss concerns? I'm assuming mother would be drinking 3-4 cups/day, not gallons.
