Well a couple of things come to mind. First if there is a mechanism to
monitor ICP then surely they can see if the pumping is increasing the
pressure or not. This is an objective measure.
Also who is the significant other? Can he be involved in the decision so
that he can share whether the mother has bf before, how much she desired it,
etc. Certainly the mother's fragile health is a huge concern. Is the mother
at all able to communicate.?
