Hi Diane and all,
I choke everytime a mom cries to me about her own failure to succeed!
I tell her unequivocally that it is not HER failure because she did the best she could. It is the SYSTEM's failure that let her down, and wasn't there to support her and teach her when she needed it most!!!
So failure? YES, Hers? most of the time NO!
I share their sadness and once again try to clean up the train wrecks.
