Good luck to everybody sitting for the exam tomorrow! Make sure your
alarm clocks are set, that there is gas in the car and lunch money in
your pocket...

The exam is not difficult, but it is stressful. Read the question
carefully, and do not add in any "what abouts" from your knowledge
base! Just work with the information presented. You know this stuff!
You can do this! Breathe!

If it helps anyone to hear, I took the exam last year. I had been
studying and working, so I felt prepared, but the pressure was getting
to me. The week prior to the exam, we had family visiting. My sweet
father-in-law decided to treat everyone to a day at Disneyland.
Shortly after our arrival, as we walked down Main Street, my husband
suffered a grand mal seizure, his first ever. The days that followed
were a rush of hospital visits, doctor's offices, worry, and stress, in
addition to trying to console my then-5-year old who had seen her
Daddy, the strongest man in the whole world, helplessly convulsing on
the ground. Both girls had nightmares regularly, for several weeks
afterwards.

Needless to say, any further exam prep went out the window...and the
morning of the exam, I was very relaxed. My husband was okay and still
with us, and I honestly did not give a rip if I passed or not. No, I
would not have been pleased if I hadn't passed, but it would have been
okay, considering what else was going on in our lives.

It really is all about perspective--it's just sad that it sometimes
takes a disaster to yank us back to what truly matters in life. So
give that exam your best shot and when it's over, send out some
grateful thoughts for all the good things in your life.
Very Warmly, Carole
