It has been well documented that early cord clamping at birth also can lead to anemia (and worse) in infants.

So, we have Dr's clamping the cord immediately after birth (the majority of births in USA) and when their little patients develop anemia at a few months of age blame it on breastfeeding and tell mothers they must wean from the breast or begin cereal. My, there is alot of harmful ignorance around.
Parents really need to be educated and confident when they go to hospitals to give birth in order to protect themselves. Most aren't.
