I have been wondering on the effect of nursing at 43 years of age and after a tubal. When I nursed my first children in my twneties i didn't have any periods (horray!). With my last two babies, one born when I was 38 and the other at 41, I started strange and erratic bleeding almost from the beginning. With the pregnancy at 38 I took the "mini" pill and had almost constnt bleeding which did not stop until i stopped using that pill. With this baby i use no birth control (gladly) because of the tubal. So what accounts for this almost constant bleeding? Perimenopause, breastfeeding hormones, a polyp or a fibroid? I have been putting up with it for a year and now due to some other problems, want to find an answer. In order to do that I have to stop bleeding. The first try was double birth control pills which made me run the the bahtroom between patients and "face the ceramic". I had to go home early that day. Despite the estrogen the bleeding did not change. My next step is
to try double progesterone pills hopefully stop bleeding and be "scoped" to figure out what the problem is. Any ideas out there? Age? Nursing?
fibroids?, polyps?, hormone imbalance. Is this a normal thing?

Frustrated but should buy stock in feminine products
