Pat
Those were such lovely stories. I sometimes feel "letdown" or breast
fullness sensations when working, which I attribute to working so closely
with mothers/babies/breasts. I am in my late 40s and rarely have a period.
I have personally known 2 women (nicu nurses who had worked for years with
infants) who became pregnant after adopting infants due to years of
infertility. While I know this is not the norm, I have postulated in my
mind, that the caring for of an infant *could* possibly bring on hormonal
type changes that could induce fertility. I do not believe for a minute it
has anything to do with *now the mother finally relaxed after trying too
hard."
