I find it somewhat ironic that when I worked in a hospital, the staff expected mothers to come in with some knowledge. In other words, moms should learn about childbirth and labor and breastfeeding ahead of time in order to have an easier time of things.
But now on the "outside" I find that moms expect to learn everything they need to know in the hospital. And they are so dissappointed or angry or frustrated to find they get almost no teaching and most of the staff is not very educated about breastfeeding (and over worked).
This is a real clash as far as expectations not getting met on either side.
