      I once worked with a Mom who also had these problems, she did use the
SNS successfully. We tried many things, one was going to a cranial sacral
therapist for the baby's suck pattern. Mom was having some shoulder pain so the
therapist worked on her. Next day Mom was engorged. We had to do milk reduction
techniques and cabbage leaves as she was so uncomfortable with swelling. Could
not pump milk to achieve relief. A couple of months went by and this time she
took baby to kinesiologist. Baby's suck was getting better and Mom asked
doctor to work on her to affect her milk supply and presto increased milk supply by
evening, this time without the inflammation and the milked could be pumped
out. Mom stopped using the SNS.  Baby was about 5 months before this all worked
out.
Strange but true. Filed in the back on my mind for when all else fails.
