Well, this attractive fold-over flyer was prominently posted in our NICU
today: "DHA and ARA Supplementation in Infant Formula: Implications for
Infant Developement. Medical Education Lecture. Sponsored by Mead Johnson
Nutritionals. Guest Lecturer: Joan Y. Meek, MD, MS, RD. Date: Monday
June 23, 2003. Time: 6:00 p.m. Lecture Location: [Swanky-poo
Philadelphia Restaurant]. In addtional to the lecture, please join me as my
guest for the following: Dinner. For more info, contact: [name/# for
formula company sales person]."
The cover (with the title) has a close-up image of a baby's face, with
fingers in mouth. Also seen today in our well-baby nursery: a pamplet of
on-line parenting resources, with prominent ads by Mead-Johnson. This
pamphlet had a close-up of the same lovely baby .... only this time, a
bottle was in the baby's mouth.
