Side lying position R/T SIDS rate - side lying does reduce
SIDS****BUT****not as well as back sleeping.  The best is back to sleep.
Still getting SIDS with side lying!  I start preaching Back to sleep, front
to play at the very first visit!  Parents are scared to death about getting
baby off their backs!  I tell them if they fall asleep while on their tummy
to just gently turn them over! I sure wish babies came with directions :-)
Unfortunately I've read that SIDS deaths are occuring at day cares with
babies being put on tummy to sleep :-(   Pat in SNJ
