According to Tom Hale:
Protonix (pantoprazole): No pediatric concerns reported via milk. 0.02% (a
very low amount) of administered dose is excreted into milk.
When ingested via breast milk, the drug would be highly unstable in the
infant's stomach. If any were present in milk, it would be highly degraded
prior to absorption.
Omeprazole (Prilosec) is an alternative treatment.
