Today at my daughter's 4 mo well baby check we were talking about solids and
she was telling me a recent issue of Academy of Fam. Practice discussing need
for Vit D supp.  Now, I wont go into this as is has been richly discussed. but
she actually asked my opinion and what I thought.  I referred to the recent
article in Mothering Magazine and essentially told her I felt it was not needed
unless high risk...she  AGREED...also we both felt that giving supplements in
her words..any supplements...are generally not needed and undermine the bfdg
relationship in that it makes moms feel that breastfeeding is somehow not
complete.!!  Everytime we visit I love her more and more!
