No references, but anecdotally...I have 4 children, aged 11 through 2,
and not a cavity in the bunch. All were nursed into toddlerhood (weaned
at 33 mos., 22 mos., 40 mos., and 2 yr. old still nursing).
I have a few cavities, but have had none since childhood, and my husband
has maybe one. I think that is a much better predictor of problems with
dental decay than how long they nurse.
