Hello,
An acquaintance is currently nursing her 18 mo old (3rd
child). She has had an ongoing battle with yeast over the
past 4 months. She has done all the standard meds (incl
Gentian Violet). The yeast (incl. thrush in baby's mouth, and
sore nipples) comes and goes.
Currently she has a white blister (looks like a pencil
eraser) on the side of the base of one nipple. Although her
toddler nurses infrequently, it is very painful to nurse on
that side (and yes, I suggested one-sided nursing, but her
daughter doesn't go along with that suggestion!). The mom has
eczema on other parts of her body, and wonders if this is
related.
Could this blister be part of the thrush problem, or is it
something else? If so, what would be the best course of
treatment?
Thanks for any insight!
