Hi all,
First I just wanted to say hello again. I have been nomail since my January 2003 vacation and haven't had time to get back on, but here I am. happy to be back.
I am Ellen Shein, from hot and humid Tel Aviv, Israel, veteran LLL and certified in 87' private clinic LC.
I have been to many conferences and am sorry not to be going to Australia, although I haven't even cancelled my bookings!
Now to my question. I have searched the archives, and came across a posting of Barbara Wilson Clay's regarding this disease. but it was just the tail end of a discussion from 2000 and not what I really needed to know. Is there any indication that a predigested formula or any other for that matter is preferable to breastfeeding?????? I have a poor mom struggling to keep up her supply while the Drs. stare while counting the cc's that go into this poor babys tummy. They have recommended to her one feed formula, one feed EBM and one feed direct bfg.

Ellen Shein, IBCLC, LLLi
Tel Aviv
