Hello,
Please forgive this almost entirely OT post. I have been in tears and
thought I'd check in with a group with lots of medical people. My 12 year-
old daughter had pilonidal sinus surgery last week and has a surgical wound
about 4" x 6" by 2" deep. I am doing wet to dry drsg changes tid. She
screams with the changes. Her surgeon is no help.
I know we've done a lot of discussion of hydrogel drsgs for nipple care;
does anyone have any experience with them with other types of wounds?
TIA for any info. Please respond to my personal email and not to the list,
since it is OT.
Marita Nickison, RN, IBCLC
