Hi Melanie,

I've worked with a number of moms who have babies presenting with similar
symptoms recently, and agree it does sound like hyperlactation syndrome
and/or lactose intolerance. One suggestion that helped me help others was
encouraging mom to pump up to half of the time she normally feeds and then
put baby to the breast.(Hind milk, less lactose) I know that your mom said
she doubted that would work for her, and she might have to be fairly
proactive about estimating when baby is going to feed, but it might be worth
a try. (Esp if all other avenues aren't working). By the way, do you think
it might have something to do with ice cream consumption going up in the
heat?
