I want to share a story from one of the support group moms. She brought in
an opened package of Gerber gel pads to show me. She said that they fell
apart while she was using them once leaked milk got onto them. She showed
me one - the gel had disintegrated. She said it was all over her nipple
and breast and was very difficult to remove. She was concerned that her
baby was ingesting some of this crumbly mess during feeding as she felt she
couldn't remove it all. Gross!!
