Ok, two very unrelated subjects. First one: Virgina Thorley (our dear friend
from Australia) has done several articles on this topic which have been very
helpful. I'll check my files later today at work, but recall that one was in
JHL and several have been in Breastfeeding Review. Check CBI at La Leche League
or the Breastfeeding Answer Book.
The other: I recall MANY years ago that clove cigarettes were an
alternative to nicotine for those who were "health minded" but wanted to smoke. I
never partook of this, didn't ever smoke - but my husband's buddies from
Colorado, California and Oregon (when he was in the service 30 years ago) used to
smoke them. The article must have meant this as an "old hippie" reference.
