Hello All,
I am sorry if you feel this is off topic, but I knew that there would be a wealth of knowledge in the lactnet group. Please give me your insights into this proposal our director is determined to bring about. We are a small hospital 80-100 beds with about 470'sh deliveries per year. Our pedicatric population currently is taken care of with the medical unit patients. We have a very small peds population. The proposal is to place pediatric patients within the OB unit. Our staff has raised infection control issues but they are falling on deaf ears. Does anyone out there have a history of a unit like this that you can share your thoughts please? Even anyone without a history, your thoughts would be appreciated? Please feel free to email me privately at [log in to unmask] Thanks we are desparate!!
