I tend to agree that there is an observed problem with babies having colic
and some relationship to consumption of iron supplements by either baby,
mom, or both. I can't get into the Cochrane Library from home, so I just
started strolling through Google. Up front, I found this AAP Policy
statement which denies any connection between iron fortified formulas &
infant colic. It says "breast is best" for healthy babies, the low iron in
HM is more bioavailable, but exclusively BFd infants are more at risk for
iron deficiency...

Will continue to look - especially for maternal supplementation & effect on
baby.
