My story is simular to others...except that when my 3 yo and my 4 mo got the
chicken pox, so did I! Actually, I got them first. I had them slightly when
I was 2 but appearantly not bad enough. I was 21 and I was miserable! I was
glad that we all had them at the same time. All of us mostly just stayed in
bed with the drapes drawn and the lights off, nursing in bed. (It makes the
eyes very sensitive to light.) The only way that I could get enough relief
to be able to sleep due to the pain and itching in the genital area was to
put cold baby wipes there to stay and change them once the effectiveness
wore off. I wish I would of thought of useing bm to treat the pox marks
with back then. My then 4 mo dd and myself still have terrible scars. My
then 3yo ds hardly got them. Just a few on his back.
They are now 16 yo and 13 yo.
