Hi friends,
I have PTP (permission to post) from this mom because she is me. I am the only person I know of around here who is bf during pregnancy, so I have no clinical experience with it.
I am 31 weeks pg and my bfeeding toddler Laura is 17 months old. She currently nurses only once a day, in the early morning, and very occasionally after her afternoon nap.
Yesteday after she nursed I began to have contractions. They were spaced 6-8 minutes apart, lasted about a minute each, and were moderately strong, enough to scare me. I lay down and they lasted for about an hour. The rest of the
day was fine. Today I nursed Laura again, and had the same reaction. So now I am scared that this will put me into a premature labor.
Should I wean Laura cold turkey or should I continue nursing? Is there truly a risk of preterm labor? Do you have any suggestions or experience about this?
Thanks,
Kika Baeza
