Sorry, I didn't keep track of who asked about the mom with an injury at the base of her nipple which was aggravated by a baby pulling back and stretching the nipple. Sounded to me as if the effect was maybe actually the cause of the injury. In my recollection, that type of injury is usually caused by a baby being held too far from the breast, and the traction leads to the injury described. As that was not a new baby, there is certainly less control that the mom has on the baby's head. So, I'm not sure what to offer in terms of advice. I always found that when my kids were older, that nursing them anywhere but in bed was too distracting. Maybe this baby is distracted and pulling, in order to see things not clearly viewed with a breast enface.
