I agree with Pat here. And while SOME aftermarket products might SEEM
in theory that they couldn't possibly pose a threat, the bottom line
is, if they didn't come with the carseat, they aren't approved, which
means that either they were tested with the product (or something
similar) and failed, or they weren't tested with it at all. To use
something that didn't come with the carseat is, in essence, treating
your child as a crash test dummy.
