I have a question which has bothered a few women I know as well as myself and
have not yet seen it addressed.
After a previous injury or mastitis, some women are complaining (even up to 2
years later) of a "sore" area that isn't really "sore"...more a pulling
sensation with a slight twinge of pain coming from the affected area.
One mother described it as a rubber band type feeling reaching back into her
chest...a "sucking" feeling a year after a plugged duct
Another described it as an intense, painful pull 6 mos after having mastitis
Me, I always feel it as a combination of both...and my daughter bit me
causing a "bleb" that had to be lanced because it would not heal after four months
and kept causing plugged ducts. THat was four years ago and I still have
sensitivity, even with my son nursing the entire time.
Anyway..any literature on this?
