See also the citations below. In particular, the Sheeshka article compares
nursing mothers' perceptions of public behaviour to researchers'
observations of that same behaviour. The Khoury article found changes in
participants' attitudes regarding breastfeeding in public after watching a
video.
The Martens article found a change in breastfeeding beliefs but not
attitudes after a breastfeeding education session with First Nation
adolescents. There are many other articles out there regarding attitudes
towards breastfeeding and measuring changes, if any, in breastfeeding
beliefs and attitudes after interventions -- these are a few which have
focused particularly on breastfeeding in public and/or breastfeeding in
front of others (ie. in the home as well as in public).
