overwhelming."

I would suggest searching under "peridontal syringe".  I know Chele
Marmet is a big proponent of this item and that's the term she uses
to describe it.
It is easier to insert into a baby's mouth after latching, but my
biggest concern is the sharpness of the tip.  IMO there is more risk
of injuring baby's mouth with this than with a softer (albeit harder
to insert) feeding tube.  There has been a lot of discussion about
using items for other than their manufacturer's intent and those
would definitely apply here.
