We originally used the Materna-Mates simply because they were easier
to order since the hospital already dealt with Kendall.  However, we
had given out samples of the Soothies (asked those moms to use one
brand on one side and the other on the other side-not a scientific
study, just anecdotal) and moms were reporting they liked Soothies
better or had no preference.  Then when we learned that
Materna-Mates were being advertised in the formula discharge bags,
we switched.  (I have heard this practice was stopped since.)
Moms have been quite happy with the Soothies.
