Excellent response to the critique. The one thing that I thought of, that
you did too, was that mothers with regular employment already have child
care and pumping in place, but a SAH mom has to handle jury duty as an
emergency. There is no time to acquaint the child with the care provider or
to stockpile milk. Also jury duty is unpredictable as to the length of time
the mother would serve.
I was told I had to report to jury duty in Louisiana when my dtr was an
infant. I had no one to leave her with (my husband works off shore) and so I
reported with her, was told I could get in some sort of legal trouble for
this, but luckily the case was settled w/o coming to trial. I was in a real
panic. I think your bill is a good one. good luck.
