As I understand it, most milk banks pool many women's milk, before or
after pasterization, but before it is dispensed to babies in need.

If individual hospitals have their own milk banks that they use
for their patients only, then policies and procedures may differ.
I am referring to milk banks that provide milk beyond the
hospital.
