And yet a client of mine may be facing this. The woman with diabetes who
had pneumonia when her second child was born still has no milk (only drops)
at 3 weeks. We're still following leads to solve that puzzle, but in the
meantime her baby needs to eat.
The baby has been exclusively human milk-fed to this point, but her local
sources are dwindling and it's doubtful she'll be able to get enough
insurance coverage to use banked milk.
If she has to "do the deed", what formula protocol would you recommend to
her and why?
