hope this makes all of you feel better.  I'm sure many parents have
thought this, not many state it.  I did a consult about 5 wks. ago.  Baby
was 36 hrs. old (birthing center birth).  Basic newborn/1st time mom
stuff.  Worked on positioning & latch.  gave her some pointers.  All in
all a really easy consult.  Parents called me back the other day for a
back to work/pumping consult.  Baby had gained 1.5 lbs. in a month!!!
Dad said the $$ they spent on my consult was the best money he's ever
spent.  They've been telling everyone how worthwhile an LC visit is.
Apparently, she has many friends who have been having problems; cracked
nipples, supplementing, yeast, etc.

So, just because you only hear the bad stuff, remember, there are
probably parents out there, like this dad, who really value your advice
and assistance.
