The Baby Bottle Blitz must be an idea shared by these centers in many
areas, because it was publicized here in February through our church.

These centers seem to be well-meaning in their efforts to give destitute
mothers an option to abortion by giving them support and services during
and after pregnancy. I voiced my objection to this type of campaign,
also, but the volunteer I talked to was wide-eyed at my objections and
seemed genuinely offended that I objected to something that went toward
saving babies from abortion. My point was misunderstood.

I think these crisis pregnancy centers have one focus and influencing a
mother who decides to carry her baby to delivery to breastfeed is just
something they don't see as part of that focus.

They have repeatedly sent out materials to recruit more volunteers and I
have volunteered to teach new mother classes and facilitate support
groups for breastfeeding mothers, but my phone does not ring with a
request to get started.

I seems to be a worthy cause, in my estimation, but the focus is
strictly saving babies from abortion. Baby bottles just make nice
collection containers for contributions that many church members will
gladly take and fill.
