Mimi maternity sold my name.
Publix supermarkets also does this along with Winn Dixie and Eckerd when you sign up for their 'baby programs'. I have verified this, so I am not slandering here. Also, when you register your new infant product with the warranty card ( car seat, swing, crib, whatever) that is also lent to other marketing companies.
Michelle, I too use a fake initial in my name so I know EXACTLY where the sell out occurs. The only response I got from these companies was an offer to remove me from their mailing lists. ( Mirine M Dye when using Mimi maternity, so on)
I warn my cbe students about this, and most think I am wacky since they spend months in the pregnancy trying to get ON mailing lists for free stuff...
