My fellow Lactnetters,
I felt compelled to write about Esther's article in the newspaper in Israel.
It really is a wonderful article. But while I was reading it I burst into
tears. Shocked, it took me a little bit to figure out why. And then it
hits me, I am so freaked out about going to war.
To our friends in the Middle East and other places filled with strife, today
I will keep you in my thoughts, cradling you like I have my own child. I am
so thankful that there are people still nurturing babies and mothers. I am
thankful that mothers, babies, and families have thoughtful caring humans to
nurture them. And I am so thankful for Lactnet, a place where we can meet
and improve the world one baby at a time.
Shalom,
Nikki Simmons
