Susan, I don't know what it is...there are several things it *could*
be....and she needs to have a full breast exam, BUT, what is up with the
doctor not "permitting" the mother to nurse.
It ain't up to him.
Kathleen
Would anyone know the reason for a 25 year old primapara to have bloody
milk? The milk does not look "rusty." It is actually bright red blood
and in fairly large amounts. The nipples are not injured and the mother
did not use a breast pump. No breast surgery and no history of cystic
breasts. The doctors at the hospital will not permit this mother to
nurse.
Any ideas?
