Formula feeding, surely, not "bottle feeding"?
Hi,
Let's not dignify the various substances with the term "formula", with its implication of specialness. Let's call it what it is - artificial baby milk, artificial infant milk, factory-made baby milk, manufactured bovine-based milk.
This thread raises some good points on safety of artificial feeding, but first-class statistics are needed for a point that many would find so startling (even threatening). Then, the information needs to be presented in the right forum, by an opinion-leader.
The bottles themselves are another issue again, which I won't go into here, other than to say that most of the cultures in which we Lactnetters live are imbued with the mindset of bottles as an essential piece of baby equipment. How many people think beyond the square on that?!!
