The main question is: how accurate is this data being collected on the
immunization survey? Not too accurate from what I hear :-( Sad, because it
could be a great tool. If mom expresses a desire to BF, "both" is standard
reply at my local hospital, whether baby has EVER gotten to breast or not!
All of this "mixed" feeding isn't giving us a truly clear picture of
breastfeeding and its benefits either. Pat in SNJ
PS: good news of the day, 3 week old, still slightly yellow, spitty BF baby
in today with a weight gain of 3 pounds!!!!!!!!! We discussed how to tamp
down mom's supply a little. And (groan) she wants to knw how to wean by end
of June to return to work :-( which led to another discussion on benefits
of working AND nursing :-)
