While you can probably get a pharmacy to make them up, you can also take the
caplets, divide them into quarters, crush the quarter caplet and mix with
breastmilk or water to make a slurry which you can give to the baby prior to
a feed.  It works fine, and while not nearly as convenient as the drops, will
do in a pinch.  I'm not sure how much a pharmacy would charge to make the
drops.  Seems to me all the lactaid caplets are the same strength....

I got this info from a pharmacist whose pharmacy didn't carry the lactaid
drops, and who couldn't get them
