Thanks everybody for your kind comments and suggestions on and off list.
For your interest, this mother was discharged before I was called back (I
had asked that I be called before discharge) and since she was from Juarez
we may not hear from her again, unfortunately.  You never know, though, she
may receive all her health care over here and will call.

I would say there was a consensus among the many responses and that would be
that everybody said "she needs help"!  Some felt that she needed teaching,
others social service, others with her obvious grief that it was a boy, and
everybody said ""follow-Up".  I did request a Pediatric visit in 2 - 3 days,
but again, there's no telling if she receives her care here or there.
