<She said about two days ago both babies had white patches on their
tongues - where is that
from?>
Don't forget that sometimes babies just have white tongues. A swab can be
taken to check and see if it is candida or not. (I don't recommend swabbing
the nipple - as it is so hard to grow from that environment.)
The mother's nipples should be examined - could she have some dermatitis
now? could the damage be caused by the pump? is she getting vasospasm?
If someone has had good thrush treatment for a couple of weeks, we need to
be wary of going along with the mother when she says that the "yeast" is
continuing. Maybe it is, but maybe a new problem has occurred (Or a
non-problem like white tongued babies).

ILCA conference! (Is there a symbol for shaking the head?)
