As an RN for 20+ years I have never seen mandatory incarceration for rounds
OR parents barred from nurseries.
As a matter of fact I witnessed an exchange between a postpartum RN and
father today where he asked for *permission* to go into the nursery and her sweet
response was "you don't need to ask, as long as you have ID, you can go in
there any time you want!"
I trust that not all of Texas medical care is in the dark ages.
