I get so frustrated reading about a lack of hospital support for Moms of multiples - as if they don't have enough to contend with! I am not nearly as experienced as Karen, but I do want to echo her sentiment that if mom is persistent that she will breastfeed. As mother's supporters one of the most important things we have to offer is a sense of hope. And, although my twins/multiples group only has one mom of triplets, I just love sharing that after 6 months of pumping her milk and maintaining an abundant milk supply, but never achieving an effective latch, two of her babies magically latched on at 7 months. I saw her two months ago and her 2 nursing-at-the-breast babies were climbing up onto her lap, happily nursing like old pros.
