After spending time working with the International Student Office at a
university in the USA (and two summers in beautiful Hungary!), I can say
that it was an awful lot of the time, and resulted in some pretty funny
gaffes from time to time.
I have found that metaduscussing, when clearly stated as such, smoothed
things over very well without alienating or offending anyone. I bet it
will be handy if I ever have cross-sultural breastfeeding work to do.
