And where is this Pediatricians scientific evidence that this Mom needs
hydrogels and a nipple shield "just in case"?  We have a Pediatrician....well
he claims he is but if you look him up in the medical directory that is not
his primary practice, who sounds like a distant relative of this Ped.  He
tells his patients (who are few and far between) that the Lactation
Consultants will tell them to ONLY breastfeed but THEY are WRONG!  Colostrum
is NOT enough for a baby and they need to listen to him since he is the
Pediatrician.  He goes on to tell them there is no such thing as a baby
getting confused with bottles and breastfeeding.  I kind of gently had it out
with him one day at the nurses station.  I think I kind of won that round
with him.  Much to his dismay.  He couldn't come back at me with ANYTHING
scientific.  Because of course it was all just his opinion.

Hey, at least this Pediatrician knows about hydrogels!  We have to find the
positives in all of the muck we sort through every day.
