Dear Friends:
This is for the US contingent.
Does anyone know anything about a code number for LCs to use that works
with the new HIPPA regulations? The ILCA and IBCLE websites don't have
information about it.
Because of these regulations, private practice LCs have been
'terminated' from their HMO provider contracts. Independence Blue Shield
claims that there is no code for private practice LCS. There are only codes
for LCs who work in home health agencies.
