With all of the talk about the need for family preparedness, these days
(which I know is taking place in many other places besides the USA) I am
again considering writing up something encouraging the use of breastfeeding
as one of the best, most fool-proof, forms of emergency preparedness for any
family with a baby or young child. I want to write something up which
discusses both obvious and not-so-obvious advantages, as well what to store
to help support the mother's milk supply, as well as some info on
relactation. Has anyone ever seen anything written on this topic?
My apologies if my reference to the family of a POW (where the mother is
breastfeeding) offended anyone.
