(I think I may have posted this comment last fall, but here goes
again)

When watching the US demo at Boca last summer, I noticed that while
they were saying there were no lactiferous sinuses, every time the
US was showing a dramatic filling of the ducts, the transducer was
placed approximately over the edge of the areola!  My assumption,
then, was that while there is no identifiable sturcture there, the
ducts must be more "stretchy" at that location.  It would make
sense, as we find that baby gets maximum volume when baby's mouth is
in that region and hand expression is most effective when the
fingers are there as noted is the referred to recent post..  Since
that is the Place Where You Put Your Fingers, I decided maybe we
should call the spot a "PWYPYF" (pronounced pwhypuff) instead of
lactiferous sinus. (TIC)
